Save the Tiger ... again!



Despite launch of the Project Tiger in 1973 to save Tigers from being extinct when there were only about 250 tigers left in the sanctuaries in India, their population now stands dismally at about 1400 in 2008.

But then, how well the sanctioned funds are implemented is another matter, and would be the most crucial factor in whether the numbers increase well enough in the next 5 years.
